Rules
How to play
The pool runs on the official Superbru World Cup Predictor. You predict every match; points are scored automatically. The short version is below — full official rules are on Superbru.
Make your picks
- For each match, predict the final score after 90 minutes (plus stoppage time, before extra time in knockouts).
- Picks lock at the official kickoff time of each match — anything missed scores zero.
- You can edit your picks freely until kickoff. If you forget, your last saved pick stands.
How points are scored
Each match awards points across three tiers:
You called the exact final score.
Right outcome and the scoreline was close.
You picked the correct result (win/draw/loss).
“Close” is determined by Superbru's margin formula, which rewards predictions that are nearly right even when the exact score is off.
Knockout-round multipliers
As the tournament progresses, each match is worth more:
- Group stage×1
- Round of 16×1
- Quarter-finals×1.5
- Semi-finals & 3rd-place×2
- Final×3
That means the final alone can swing the leaderboard — don't skip your pick.
Slam bonus
On top of per-match scoring, Superbru awards Slam Points for getting many correct outcomes in a single round. The more winners you pick across a matchday, the bigger the bonus tier — good for chasing the leader late in the tournament.
Winning the pool
- Highest total points after the World Cup final wins the pot.
- Prize split: 55% for 1st, 30% for 2nd, 15% for 3rd.
- Ties broken by Slam Points, then by exact-score count, then by the earliest paid-up date.
Defaults & no-shows
- A missed pick defaults to 0–0 — you can still score “Result” or “Close” points if the match was actually a draw.
- Buy-in must be paid by the signup deadline (11 June 2026) to be included in the pot. Late or unpaid entries play for fun only.
